That’s according to a damning new report, which reveals Ring’s lax attitude to customer security handed engineers unfiltered access to people’s private video feeds.

Ring was bought by Amazon last year, and makes smart doorbells that capture a video feed of your doorstep that is streamed in real-time to an app on your phone.

The videos were easily downloaded and shared by staff, even if their role at the firm did not require them to watch customer clips.
