都可以。如果用inside the jar，則inside是介詞，在英國英語更常見；如果用inside of the jar，則inside是名詞，在美國英語中更常見。
英文的方位詞有兩種詞性，一種是介詞，一種是名詞。
介詞方位詞包括behind, above, under, in等等，在使用的時候直接加地點名詞
名詞方位詞包括front, back, left, right等等，在使用的時候需要先添加介詞，然後才能加地點名詞。
下面我們來逐一看一下：

在桌子上
（on是介詞，指」在上面「）
above the ground
在地面上方
（above是介詞，指」位於正上方「）
under the table
在桌子下面
（under是介詞，指」在下面「）
flow below the bridge
在橋下流過

outside (of) the house
在房子外面
（out不可做介詞/名詞；outside在英國英語中多做介詞，指」在外面「，在美國英語中多做名詞，需要加of）
in front of the house
在房子前面
（front是名詞，in front of指”在外面的前面”）
behind the wall
在牆後面
（behind是介詞，behind指」在外面的後面「）
the teacher is in the front of the classroom
老師在教室前部
（in the front of指」在里面的前部「）

(by和beside都是介詞；指」在旁邊「，注意beside和besides區分，besides是副詞，指「此外」)

（next to合起來做介詞，指」緊挨著「）

在花叢中
（among是介詞，指」在…之中「）

在兩只獅子中間
