6月29日，環球網援引CNN消息稱：
當天特朗普在G20新聞發布會上表示，他將允許美國公司繼續向華為出售設備。特朗普表示，「美國公司可以向華為出售他們的設備……沒有什麼重大的國家緊急問題。」
顯然，這一消息，對美國封殺華為後遭到重創的美國供應商來說，無疑是一項重大利好——自5月15日美國商務部禁令頒布以來，博通、高通等6家華為在美供應商市值累計蒸發了近170億美元。

但是，就在美企為此振奮暗呼的同時，美國網友的態度，可以說是相當「現象級」的：

不過，相較於美國人民的「牢騷滿腹」，咱們的選擇就要簡單許多。
針對特朗普的這些說法，國外交部G20特使、國際經濟司司長王小龍在另一場記者會上表示：「如果美方說到做到的話，我們是歡迎的。」
