The newest Sims 4 Kit, Pastel Pop, has been revealed to be a collaboration with popular content creator Plumbella, and it's set to release this month.

The latest Sims 4 Kit, entitled Pastel Pop, has been revealed as a collaboration with popular Sims content creator Plumbella. Although two upcoming Sims 4 Kits leaked earlier this week, including Pastel Pop, they hadn't been officially acknowledged by The Sims team until now. Plumbella - also known as Jesse McNamara - is one of the most popular Sims creators with over 700,000 YouTube subscribers, and they're known for their unique videos about things like the history of the Sims franchise and build challenges.

The collaboration with Plumbella was announced on The Sims Twitter account, which provided details about what the Kit will contain as well as a release date. An interview with Plumbella about their design process was also published to the EA website. The site states that the new Pastel Pop Kit decor "introduces a soft pastel color palette to the game, along with fun, unique patterns of groovy shapes" and that it will offer "lots of new furniture, mirrors, decorative 'tchotchkes,' shelves, and desk items." The Pastel Pop Kit will release alongside the Everyday Clutter Kit on November 10.

Recently, Sims content creators have become more involved with the title. For example, The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack featured lots built by creator James Turner, and The Sims 4 Snowy Escape Expansion Pack had most of its world designed by creator lil_simsie. The lots created with the help of Simmers are generally regarded as being higher quality than those that weren't.

While developers may be experts on programming The Sims 4 itself, that doesn't make them pros at playing the game, particularly when compared to content creators who spend several hours every week building and playing. Many of them, including Plumbella, have been involved in the series for at least a decade, and have a vast amount of experience when it comes to what works and what doesn't in building. They tend to know much better what the general Sims 4 community is looking to get out of the game.

To say that past Sims 4 Kits have disappointed players would be an understatement - ever since their introduction, Kits have been highly criticized for being low effort and not bringing any value to the game. Throughout their interview, Plumbella's specific statements about what they wanted players to get out of the Pastel Pop Kit and the items they're most excited about help demonstrate their immense knowledge about the community as a whole and what's most important to include in a Kit. While players will have to wait to form their final opinions on the Kit until its release later this month, the Sims 4 Pastel Pop has potentially the highest potential seen from a Kit yet thanks to Plumbella's involvement.
